  • My friend advice and tbe adventure/ sky feeling in It [Misu Yamaneko]
  • My friend gave me Skies of Arcadia and Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker at the same time. I decided to play Skies of Arcadia first to save the best for last. But Skies of Arcadia became my favorite game of all time instead! [Ashish M.]
  • I had it recommended as an upbeat RPG about Air Pirates. All of that sounded interesting. [McNum]
  • I got it as a gift, and the cover art looked so cool! The screenshots and description on the back were exciting as well. [Noseguy]
  • A friend lent it to me to try, then i bought it [KillySG10]
  • Friends [Masterostrich]
  • 知人から譲り受けたため [おきのどく]

  • Friend bought me the game! [Zach]
  • I saw my brother playing it and I was enraptured [Annakratos]
  • 母親に誘われて [あいかわいちご]
  • The glimpses I’d seen as my sister played the game intrigued me. I wanted to sail around in the airships and meet the characters. [Molly]
  • My cousin had it when I was just a kid and I remember thinking how cool it looked. When I got older and had my own money, I decided to buy it myself and experience it for real. It was magical. [Zebra]
  • Great reviews [Nick Fisher]
  • Great word of mouth from magazines and an online community I was part of [healfriend]
  • I like rpgs, and reviews at the time of its release gave Skies of Arcadia high scores so I bought a copy. [Sam]
  • Magazine reviews, beutiful world and art. [John Tate]
  • Read an article about the best Dreamcast games [witapepsi]
  • Great reviews, looking for a JRPG [TanookiTom]
  • reviews [Daveodeth]
  • Strong reputation [Ayro]
  • I was looking for a good RPG, Skies of Arcadia is still the best one i ever played [Churroszx]
  • I had just bought a Dreamcast and wanted a single player RPG as a counterpart for Phantasy Star Online. From what I had read in magazines, it seemed like a unique adventure and setting. [Jerome]
  • I was 10 and saw an ad for it in a gaming magazine. I was immediately enraptured by it, but I didn’t have the money to buy a Dreamcast. But still, I kept thinking about it and looking up things for it until one day, a remaster was announced for Gamecube — a console I had! It felt like fate. I bought it as soon as I could and never looked back. [Carmen]
  • Curiosity past braving early RPG fears, and seeing the uniqueness of the environment that was Arcadia (floating wooden/metal ships, fighting against TOWERING constructs, with magic plasma weaponry… and the ground aspect of being a ‘good pirate’ was incredibly fresh… I never saw anything like that before and those were what helped turn me around). Said first knowledge of SoA involved borrowing a former friend’s magazine covering the game (it was for the DC version, but I regretfully missed the boat as that console fell in the new millennium). Overtime, that magazine article gave me a lot of time to ponder and question what I was looking at when stuck with nothing but said magazine in a wedding reception hall for hours, trying to flip my childset mind around to grasping what I saw before realizing this game was VERY different from the Final Fantasy VII mill. I was proven right when getting the game in high school years, and it was a great light in a relatively dark time of life amidst seemingly aimless darkness and bigotry; even had some solid lessons to help me out, like tasting a glimpse of Vyse’s disbelief of the word “Impossible”. [sgreturn]
  • 当時ファミ通の付録だった@barai版を遊び、バルア帝国の列車の上をガルシアンから逃げるヴァイスとアイカを見て「これは絶対に面白い!」と思ったから。 [わたらせ]
